  • Threonic Vitamin C (buffered) is well tolerated by the body as compared to other forms of Vitamin C. There is a special study (April, The FASEB Journal (the official publication of the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology) shows that Threonic acid increases the amount of Vitamin C taken up by the T-cells of the immune system.

The addition of Super B15 Complex to the excellent products contained in Metabolic Therapy Pak 1, adds the benefit of increased oxygenation of the blood. Not only does this improve circulation but it also decreases the possibility of cancer because cancer cells cannot survive in a highly oxygenated environment.

This combined with the proven fact that Vitamin C supplements can prevent cancer. This was proven by a team of scientists at John Hopkins. At last the findings of Nobel laureate Linus Pauling of over 30 years ago that Vitamin C can prevent cancer, have been confirmed. The issue is that the body can only tolerate a limited amount of orally administered Vitamin C before side effects of indigestion, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, headache and fatigue. Only IV (intravenous) infusion can bypass these side effects.

Most of these side effects have been overcome with Threonic Vitamin C (buffered). The vitamin C metabolite L-threonic acid increases the total amount of vitamin C absorbed by the immune system T-cells. This means that this "master nutrient", vitamin C, can be orally administered in lower dosages, but because of the L-threonic acid a much higher percentage can beneficial to the immune system which is the key to a healthily body.

Pangamic Acid (Vitamin B15) was first isolated in 1951 by Drs. Ernest Krebs, Sr. and Jr., from apricot kernels, along with laetrile, termed vitamin B17. Vitamin B15 is an old name for dimethylglycine (DMG).

It is is absorbed from the small intestine and from there transported by the portal circulation to the liver. DMG is metabolized in the liver to monomethylglycine or sarcosine which, in turn, is converted to glycine.

Vitamin B15 is associated with B17(Amygdalin).Amygdalin is first broken down to two molecules of glucose and one molecule of laevo-mandelonitrile. This substance releases a poison only at a cancer site, thus destroying cancer cells while nourishing non-cancer tissue. Vitamin B15 has antioxidant properties, which may help explain why it is so highly touted for its ability to confer protection against urban air pollutants, extend cell life, stimulate increased immune system response, lower blood cholesterol levels,  and assist in the regulation of hormones. B15 is also thought to offer mild stimulation to the endocrine and nervous systems, and by enhancing liver function, it may help in the detoxification process.

Threonic Vitamin C

A formulation that combines the benefits of buffered vitamin C (ascorbate) with other antioxidants to create a product that specifically enhances ascorbate absorption, especially via the important glucose transport pathways. This makes Threonic Vitamin C uniquely beneficial to the many millions of people  who are prone to have poor ascorbate status, as well as for everyone seeking to improve vitamin C uptake into the bloodstream and cells. SUMMARY:

As you may have realized by now Metabolic Therapy Pak 2 (which includes all the supplements of Pak 1) are primarily targeted to the immune system. For an in-depth discussion of the immune system of the human body, we would like to refer you to the Wikipedia. Basically without an immune system we all would perish in less than 24 hours.

All disease, including cancer, that is successful with its invasion of the human body is primarily because of a weakened immune system.

Let's take a moment and look at AIDS. AIDS is caused by a virus called HIV, the Human Immunodeficiency Virus.

Note the word "immuno" above. This means a weak immune system.

If you get infected with HIV, your body will try to fight the infection. It will make "antibodies," special molecules to fight HIV. The immune system is attempting to keep the body healthy.

A blood test for HIV looks for these antibodies. If you have them in your blood, it means that you have HIV infection. People who have the HIV antibodies are called "HIV-Positive." Fact Sheet 102 has more information on HIV testing.

Being HIV-positive, or having HIV disease, is not the same as having AIDS. Many people are HIV-positive but don't get sick for many years. As HIV disease continues, it slowly wears down the immune system. Viruses, parasites, fungi and bacteria that usually don't cause any problems can make you very sick if your immune system is damaged.
